Jinfeng Zhao is a contemporary artist based in China.
Working mainly with acrylic and airbrush on wood panel and canvas, he creates figures, flowers and animals with a porcelain-like surface.
His paintings often move between tenderness and unease, combining the calm appearance of ceramic sculpture with bodily forms, growth, desire and transformation.
Recent works develop through several ongoing series, including Hua Wuxie, Flower Rider, Breath and Body as Vessel. Across these works, the human body is not treated as a fixed form, but as something that can bloom, dissolve, merge and become a vessel for other lives.
