JAMES ENSOR - CONTEMPORARY REFLEXIONS

Welcome to Studio23's latest exhibition, a captivating group show that bridges the past and present through the works of contemporary artists inspired by the legendary James Ensor.

This unique collection features pieces by current visionaries Joren Van Acker, Michael Kirkman, Guillaume Van Moerkercke, Marcus Leotaud, Onie Jackson, Michael Chance, Lucile Haefflinger, Maxim Van Cauwenberge, Elia Vanderheyden, Francis Bekaert, David Van De Walle and Jeroen Boudens, all of whom draw upon Ensor's surreal and satirical oeuvre.
The exhibition also includes original works by Ensor himself.

Through a blend of vivid imagination, dark humor, and intricate detail, the show explores themes of society, identity, and the grotesque, offering a dialogue between Ensor's pioneering spirit and the fresh perspectives of today's artistic talents.

Join us in celebrating this confluence of eras and styles, where tradition meets innovation in a vibrant tapestry of visual storytelling.
